Sangweni Matwele serves as the MMC (Member of the Mayoral Committee) for Spatial Development Planning in the Buffalo City Metropolitan Municipality, based in East London in the Eastern Cape. As part of Mayor Princess Faku’s executive team, he oversees urban planning initiatives, land-use management, and strategies to guide the municipality’s spatial development.
